Some History

Go back in time and discover the passionate history of the Domaine…

Castles of the Loire Valley

Close to the Domaine des Hauts de Loire, visit the Amboise and Chaumont-sur-Loire castles that welcome each year the International Garden Festival. The royal castle in Blois showcases the French architecture from the Middle Ages to the 17th century, while the Chenonceau castle stands majestically on the banks of the Cher, with its main Renaissance building built on the river. Go visit the Chambord castle, a jewel of French architecture with multiple turrets. And between Chambord and Chenonceau, discover the Cheverny castle. This castle inspired the famous cartoonist Hergé to create Moulinsart Castle in some of the “Adventures of Tintin”.

The hotel is located near the Loire Valley wine route.

It is the longest in France: for 800 km, along the river, discover an exceptional heritage. Visit the vineyards of Bourgueil, Chinon, Vouvray or Esvres. On the plateau of Oisly, sample wines with as grape varieties Gamay and Sauvignon.
